Architecture and cultural monuments

3D laser scanning of buildings, churches, castles has an advantage over conventional measurement procedures in that the laser scanner is able to target the object more comprehensively, meaning that the scanner is capable of taking approximately 900,000 measurements per second. The density of the acquired data and the speed of the collection guarantees that the data processed afterwards will be an accurate representation of reality. It is then up to the customer whether they require 2D CAD technical documentation in the form of sections, views, floor plans, or a 3D model in the form of CAD, BIM or MESH. Another indisputable advantage is that all objects in a given space are always focused on. This means that there is no need to travel to the object again and take additional measurements.

What the customer gets

  • accurate structured 2D reps. 3D CAD model in the required format (dwg, dxf, dgn, rvt, wrp, ifc … )
  • project documentation in the form of 2D PDF or 3D PDF
  • rendered presentation photos for marketing purposes (jpg, png, tiff …)
  • a complete set of laser scans with a free viewer
  • laser scans in html format for virtual tours

Benefits of laser scanning for architecture

fast and efficient orientation of building geometry
three-dimensional photorealistic capture of the environment
non-contact measurement over long distances
instant visual and geometric analysis of scanned objects
creation of floor plans
making cuts in different places
creation of building facades
complete documentation of the current state of the buildings
high-precision CAD modelling from measured data
creation of drawing documentation of buildings
