Construction
Terrestrial laser scanning is used very often in the construction industry. In most cases, this involves the orientation of buildings, steel structures, technological units and technical equipment of buildings (pipelines with fittings, air conditioning, cable routes, lighting). The uses are diverse. Conversion of an industrial building into new residential units, static calculations of steel structures (installation of cranes with higher load capacity, installation of new pipelines on the original bridge structures, connection of new pipelines to existing pipelines), checking the accuracy of the construction of buildings for the purpose of installation of facade plates, placement of new technological units in existing production where there is a risk of collisions, etc.

The use of laser scanning in the construction industry:
- documentation of the existing state of the buildings
- documentation of steel structures
- documentation of technological units
- documentation of pipeline bridges
- surveying the current state of transport structures
- bridges
- roads
- tunnels
- Terrain
- deflection analysis of structures, deformation control of industrial tanks
- creation of 2D and 3D drawings of the current state (as built)
- accuracy control during construction of buildings and steel structures
