Oversized objects
Laser scanning of oversized objects is performed quite frequently. These are projects where it is necessary to reconstruct production facilities, to install new large technological units in existing operations where collision detection may occur, to plan precise connections to technological units (exact position of flanges in space) or to check the accuracy of assemblies before their installation. Interventions or replacements of components of important equipment can be simulated before the actual intervention. To obtain relevant data, an accurate 3D CAD model is essential.
